Altro Health, a platform that lets personal trainers and other wellness businesses offer lab testing and clinician-prescribed treatments, has raised $7 million in seed funding. The company plans to use the money for product development, hiring, sales and marketing.
NFX led the round, which also included Founder Collective and Abby Miller Levy of Primetime Partners. Altro Health says its software supports gyms, coaches and medspas that want to provide peptides, GLP-1s, hormone therapy and lab testing under their own brands.
The funding backs a service model aimed at businesses that want to add these offerings while keeping their names on the storefront and their client relationships. Altro handles the clinical side, with a board-certified clinical team supervising each service, according to the source report. The company says products come from licensed 503A and 503B pharmacies.

Altro Health’s Wellness Platform for Trainers
Altro describes itself as a “Shopify for wellness businesses.” It says businesses can begin offering bloodwork, prescription drugs and peptides in as few as two days. More than 500 businesses are already on the platform.
Altro’s Starter plan costs $319 a month, billed quarterly. It includes a co-branded storefront and patient portal, the full product catalog, remote and on-site lab testing, and the ability for businesses to set prices.
The Pro plan costs $599 a month. It puts the storefront on the business’s own domain and adds marketing tools, premium lab panels with mobile blood draws, and priority support. Operators with multiple locations can receive custom pricing.

Founder and CEO Andrea Corleto said direct-to-consumer brands were competing for the same customers, prompting Altro to pursue a broader market. The source identifies Corleto as a Harvard MBA graduate.
Lets Personal Trainers Enter a Growing Market
The round’s lead investor framed the company’s opportunity around infrastructure and trust. NFX general partner James Currier said the firm saw a consumer category without a clear leader. He said the question was who could build infrastructure to meet demand safely and at scale.
Currier also cited Altro’s advisory team, which the source says includes clinicians trained at Harvard Medical School, Johns Hopkins and Mayo Clinic. Those are investor comments about the company’s capabilities, rather than an independent assessment.
Altro is entering a market where gyms and wellness businesses are adding clinical services through different arrangements. Massachusetts gym owner Andrew Boimila offers peptides to members through provider Asher Med. UFC Gym announced a joint venture with NexGen MD Scientific in February to place clinics offering GLP-1s, hormone replacement therapy and peptides inside its studios.
The UFC Gym plan starts with two California locations and is set to expand across its network over two years. Life Time has offered the same lineup through its Miora clinics since late 2023. Dallas-based Recess Fitness, a one-location gym, has also rolled out RecessRx with GLP-1s, hormone therapy and peptides.
A New Consumer report released this year found that a third of younger consumers said they would consider peptides on the recommendation of a healthcare or wellness professional. That finding points to an opening tied to professional guidance, while Altro’s service model places clinical oversight alongside businesses’ customer relationships.
Altro says it will direct the new funding toward product development, hiring and sales and marketing as it builds its platform for wellness businesses. Its expansion will put that model alongside gym-based offerings already described by UFC Gym, Life Time and Recess Fitness.
Other businesses are testing related models. ClaimAngel’s funding report covers another startup serving a specialized consumer market, while Pitt’s planned startup facilities show a different approach to supporting early-stage companies. A separate report on founder-led businesses examines how companies grow through leadership changes and expansion.
